The Atlantic range is a more economical option than other Shadbolt door and doorset ranges, also offering greater environmental benefits. It makes more efficient use of veneer materials by a more efficient method of matching, enabling the use of the whole of each veneer log. It also uses solid laminated softwood lipped and veneered frames from FSC® accredited sources.
Shadbolt Atlantic Frames
Our range of Shadbolt Atlantic doors are generally accompanied by assembled frames made in our Shadwood product – an engineered solid timber tested for FD30 & FD60 performance – with concealed hardwood lippings and decorative face veneers.
Avoiding the dramatic differences that can occur when using solid hardwood sections, Shadbolt Atlantic door frames feature veneers of similar colours and grains which are free of sap, knots and colour defects.
Shadwood frames are solid timber construction and can be easily worked with conventional tools: eg. screws, drills, saws and chisels.
