Located in the heart of the Old Street area, the Featherstone Building is an industrial-inspired commercial workspace with a high-end modern finish. Designed by Morris + Company, the new development provides 124,200 sq ft of offices across 11 floors and 2,400 sq ft of retail.
The design of the building complements the architecture of Victorian warehouses of the area, with exposed concrete ceilings and large windows, it also boasts a range of modern features. These include a chilled concrete slab cooling system to absorb heat generated in the offices and a pavilion on the 10th floor that provides calming space for informal working and all-day dining.
Shadbolt were privileged to have worked on this stunning project, manufacturing and supplying a host of bespoke FSC® certified doorsets and washroom cubicles.
These included random matched straight grain European oak FD30 and FD60 fire resistant veneered doors with 11 no. decorative routered feature grooves with solid hardwood European oak framesets to match.
In addition, Woodlam UK laminated washroom cubicle doors and factory primed fire resistant door and frame assemblies were also supplied.
